it's funny how it takes so much time
for you to forget some things,
and to let go of some other things
... and feelings.

and then,
one sunny day...
it only takes an image,
a memory,
a text,
a sentence,
a word,
a letter, even,
and it all comes crumbling back to you.

and it is utterly devastating,
a trainwreck, really,
getting to the conclusion that
you never really forgot,
you never really let go,
you never really stopped feeling...

and you're back to ground zero
... yet again.

and it's not funny at all.
