Missed Connections
"You were wearing white shorts & a black jacket, sitting on the Lincoln Center stairs in front of the fountain. I had a big black dog and was wearing a green hat, sitting next to you with my dog. I was on the phone, we exchanged a quick glance, but by the time I was off the phone, you were gone.."
"Sunday night, we were towards the back of the 6:53 train to grand central and both got on at Stamford. I wanted to say hello because you looked beautiful and interesting, but it always seems so weird to randomly talk to strangers on the train. I'm regretting not doing it now."
"Hi, we were on St. Marks, walked into the restaurant at the same time, ordered the same thing (restaurant was empty, you were sitting two tables over).
A. Should've asked if you'd care to join
B. Did yours taste funny? Mine tasted weird."
"I thought we hit off well but I don't know if you are really seeing someone or the fact that I was smoking bother you. I only smoke if I drink and now that I'm in school, going out and drinking never happens. I'm a good guy. I hope to see you soon. Get back at me if you see this!"

You recently visited Minneapolis, MN.
It was my first night ever professionally dancing/working at a strip club.
You were Minnesota for business, with 3 or 4 co-workers/friends.
You got two dances from me. We kissed.
You and your friends introduced me to the game PING =]
I haven't been able to stop thinking about you.
I hope I find you
-Anna Lee
You were reading Virginia Wolf.
You got on at Jay Street Monday morning and stood by the door.
You were easily the most beautiful girl on the train.
I was standing not too far away, talking with a friend, and every now and then I'd look your way and try to catch a look, but I never got one.
I don't know why I'm writing this, I guess I just regret not doing anything crazily romantic like slipping you a note just before I left the train that said, 'You are beautiful.'
I kept thinking about you as I walked out of the York Street station with my friend, and only when we came out into the daylight did I make an exclamation about your beauty.
My friend laughed, I whistled, and the day went on.
Later that night, I remembered you and wrote this note.
You are so, so beautiful. And I will probably never see you again.
And you will probably never read this.
You had on a white coat and blue jeans tucked into black boots. Around 9ish tonight.
You were beautiful. Like model beautiful.
But it was your hands.
They were so beautiful and elegant.
I couldn't stop looking at them.
The white gloss on them was perfect.
I know I sound ridiculous, but it's true.
I was running on the treadmill and spotted you lifting weights and you were so adorable, wearing an LA Dodgers hat. So cute and focused, just like you should be!
I didn't want to interrupt your workout or distract you but you were adorable.
Hope you never see this because I would be so embarrassed...

"You had on black and red Jordans and a Yankees cap. You looked at me and smiled, I just thought it was because you thought I worked there because I didn't have my coat on (and your friend asked me if I worked there). I looked a mess, but trust me, I am usually well put together. I looked at you again and you were looking at me and I got nervous like a 15 year old and didn't look again. I had on a green sweater. "
"mmm...this was near java st. i'm not familiar with the area and don't know other streets. around 3 oclock? i was bundled up walking with a friend and you were walking with a girl who was a few steps ahead of you. our eyes met for a very nice second. i think you had on a hat as well."
"You were with three of your friends! I was with a friend of mine. You wore a black jacket and a purple scarf, I wore a green jacket! We both kept making eye contact and I even accidently bumped into you! Was there a connection? "
"You are a red hair, wear glasses, always reading on the bus and usually sits on the back of the bus but close to the back door. We have made eye contact a few times but still nothing. I'm shy, so, all I get to do is look at you when I think you are not looking but you have noticed a few times. If you read this, please say Hi sometime. I wear glasses and usually sit right next to the back door and get off on 34th and Madison Ave."
"You were getting off the 6 train as I was getting on it. Around 1am. I caught your eye and you looked a little worried. I thought you were cute.. long shot."

"You were the only other person who got out to help that man on the side of the highway.
Even though it was not the right time to be thinking something like this I couldn't help but to; You were beautiful..."
"To the lady whose shoe I knocked off as I tripped going up the stairs: No, I'm not "seeking you out" for anything except to say that I'm really, really sorry. As I said, I couldn't believe I DID that. I feel so dumb, cause I did notice you were kind of cute. But that is NOT the way I "pick up girls". I hope you're okay. I was mortified. And thats not the first time I've tripped on that stairway. God, I feel stupid, stupid, stupid. "
"This is for the beautiful girl with the red coat at Think Coffee at about 6pm on Sunday. You had short brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. We made eye contact several times, but I didn't have the nerve to go over to your table to talk to you. Maybe we could have our coffees together next time."
"You crossed the street and I was several steps behind you, we made eye contact waiting for the crosslight and you were just so beautiful. I'm sorry I couldn't smile or look longer or give either of us a chance, but I felt like an ugly asshole today. We walked right next to each other for a block or so, then I turned around because I was fucking lost. The penny in my pocket suggests you were born in 1989. Please let's run into each other again sometime, if it's at all possible? And if not then please accept my apology, I hope you find what you're looking for."
"I told you to meet me in jamaica. you took the f train. i got on a plane."
